Know Me
GET TO
HELLO, AND WELCOME!
I’m Namrata Naomi Gautam — most people call me Nam.
I’m a chronically ill, disabled, neurodivergent, and queer therapist working to make therapy an inclusive, affirming, and welcoming space for all.

WHY I DO THIS WORK
I know firsthand how hard it can be to find the right therapist — and how life-changing it feels when you finally do.
As a client, I’ve longed for someone who truly gets it.
As a therapist, I’ve seen the impact of using evidence-based approaches while holding space for the very real struggles that don’t just “go away.”
Some challenges — grief, trauma, disability, illness — may stay with us. My role isn’t to teach you to “move on.” Instead, it’s to help you move through, finding steadier ground in a world that often feels overwhelming.
M.Sc. in Counselling Psychology – Sampurna Montfort College
B.A. Liberal Arts (Psychology major, Law minor) – Symbiosis School for Liberal Arts
Head of Mental Health Vertical (NGO) — founded and led the program, guiding a team of 20 counsellors working with 60+ clients with disabilities
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT HERE
This is a collaborative space where:
The therapist and client meet as equals.
Liberation-focused, feminist, and queer-affirmative values guide the work.
Every identity, every struggle, every story is welcomed.
I don’t believe in quick fixes or focusing on the positives. I believe in creating room for both the sorrow and the joy, the pain and the growth, and in finding ways to carry what feels unbearable with a little more ease.
I'm a feminist, and liberation-focused therapist with lived and professional experience in chronic illness, pain, neurodivergence, and complex trauma. I offer a warm, affirming space to explore identity, navigate challenges, and create safe and sustainable ways to move through life's challenges. I am queer-affirmative, and I work sensitively with disability, systemic trauma, and complex identities. My work integrates feminist and liberation frameworks with CBT, psychodynamic, and humanistic tools in a flexible approach that aims to provide a personalised plan for each individual client.
